Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)

Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)

We deliver comprehensive ESIA services, including scoping studies, legislation and regulatory standards analyses and reviews, baseline data collection, impact prediction and assessment, and environmental and social management plans. Our field team also has particular expertise in complex environmental and social baseline studies.

Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)

Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) is a core service of Five Elements. It is required to support national environmental permitting processes and, for projects seeking finance, forms a critical component of lenders’ due diligence led by Technical Advisors.

Our dedicated team of ESIA project managers oversees the full ESIA process including engaging with regulators, preparing scoping reports to national and international standards, designing and implementing baseline surveys, and assessing potential environmental and social impacts. These assessments form the foundation of Environmental and Social Management Plans, ensuring projects are both compliant and sustainable.

These assets hold intrinsic, scientific, and tourism value, and are highly protected by governments and international organisations. Our services identify and assess cultural heritage resources to ensure they are appropriately managed.

Avoiding and minimising impacts on natural capital is a priority for governments, communities, and the international community. Our biodiversity and ecology surveys address these challenges, bringing rigour to one of the most complex aspects of environmental assessment.
